Intuitively, Botox might be expected to be effective in muscle tension headaches, but not in true migraine. Migraine is over diagnosed in the community, with many people regarding any severe headache as a 'migraine'. It is unfortunate, therefore, that the diagnostic criteria used in this trial have not been stated in this story.
