This is one of a very large number of stories that came from the preliminary findings of a study presented at a conference. Of all the stories rated on Media Doctor on this subject, this is the most comprehensive in terms of details about how the study was conducted and how long it might be before this blood test was available. The story scored satisfactory for many of our rating items but neglected to look at the potential cost of this test - and if the researchers are prepared to launch their results at this early stage, they should be able to come up with a prediction of cost as well as this would be a large consideration for many women.
