Like may others this is a story about a possible treatment that is only just starting the development process. It is yet to be tested on animals, so human trials are a long way off and only if they are successful would it be a practical treatment.
The story clearly tells us why a new treatment might be better, but does not give an independant opinion on where this fits in to the overall picture of new treaments for chronic ear perforation.
